An ATS (Applicant Tracking System) resume is your original resume specifically reformatted for job search engines and ATS systems. An E-Resume is the same thing. It just means an electronic resume. This is what we used to call them years ago. The text is realigned as not to wrap, and special borders and fonts are removed. Any fancy shading or graphs are removed as well. This is so the search engines and ATS can interpret the text correctly so that when you upload or copy and paste your resume to a resume board, or when an employer adds it to their database, the text doesn’t scatter. Isn’t it a pain to have to sit there for several minutes trying to fix your resume for every posting? Definitely, have your resume converted to an ATS resume. You’ll be glad you did!
